SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
FOR PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS
With a service and maintenance
programme you can reduce the risk of things going wrong before they
become a major problem
PLATE CLEANING

It is important to keep the
heat exchanger plates clean and free from debris.
Fouling can reduce the capacity and heat transfer of the
heat exchanger. The gaskets are carefully removed from
each plate and then the plates are
immersed in a series of chemical tanks, they are then
rinsed off using a high pressure washer and dried before
being inspected for cleanliness
DIE PENETRANT TESTING
Once the plates have been dried they are sprayed with a water soluble fluorescent dye and inspected
with an ultra violet light for cracks and pinholes
GASKET REPLACEMENT
Plates which are suitable for re-use are
re-gasketted using only genuine manufacturers gaskets and approved
adhesives as required.
Where gaskets are glued and require curing
they are placed in a temperature controlled oven
